About our academy
New for the 2025 season, the Ipswich FC Academy brings together the 2024 Metro Advanced and FQA Programs into a unified platform, designed to help every player reach their full potential. Our program is dedicated to shaping the future of football by fostering the growth of emerging talent through a holistic approach to player development. Emphasising technical skills, tactical awareness, physical conditioning, and mental toughness, we offer a comprehensive training environment tailored to the unique potential of each player.
Squad Structure
What sets us apart from other clubs is our commitment to providing more opportunities for player development by fielding two teams in each age group for boys. This approach ensures that a greater number of players can benefit from our program, offering them more game time, experience, and personalised coaching. By giving more players the chance to grow and develop their skills, we create an environment where everyone can reach their full potential.
Currently, we are proud to be a Football Queensland Silver Rated academy, which allows us to field one team in the Football Queensland Academy League. However, our goal for the next five years is to elevate our academy to Gold Rated status, enabling us to enter two teams in the league. In preparation for this goal, we will be operating our academy with a two-team structure, ensuring we are ready to take that next step and continue providing exceptional opportunities for player development.

On Field
2 sessions per week.

1 session per week is dedicated to high-performances and includes but not limited to:

Apparel
Instead of providing the same merchandise and apparel each season, we’re now offering vouchers that give you more flexibility in your purchases. With these vouchers, you can either buy the mandatory equipment or select items that suit your needs. For example, if you already have the tracksuit top, you can use your voucher to get the tracksuit pants instead. This mix-and-match approach allows you to customize your gear according to your preferences.
