We’ve designed a phased trial process to ensure every player has the opportunity to be placed in the program that best suits their skill level and development goals. This approach allows for a fair and comprehensive assessment of all players, whether they are new to the club or returning.

Phase 1: Calves League Trials

• Who it’s for: This initial phase is for players who participated in our in-house Calves League this season and wish to be considered for a Community Advanced team next year.
• When: Trials will be held on the Wednesday following the final Calves League match of the season.

Phase 2: Kangaroo League Trials

• Who it’s for: This phase is for players identified in Phase 1, current Kangaroo League players, and new players from other clubs who are looking to join one of our Community Advanced
• When: Trials will be held on the Tuesday and Thursday following the last Kangaroo League match of the season.

Phase 3: Academy Trials

• Who it’s for: This is the final trial phase for players being considered for our highest level, the Academy Players identified from Phase 2, as well as current Football Queensland Academy (FQA) players and other highly skilled players, are invited to participate.
• When: These trials are conducted in accordance with the official trial window set by Football Queensland.

Phase 4: Final Kangaroo League Team Selection

• Who it’s for: This final session is to finalise all Community Advanced (Kangaroo League) team rosters for the upcoming season. All players being considered for these teams will be invited to attend.
• When: This final trial is typically held in late January or early February of the new season.
