Guidlines

Strict guidelines are in place for trials, and the club will enforce a zero-tolerance policy. Any breaches by players, parents, or spectators may result in being asked to leave. For any questions, please approach an official in a yellow vest. We ask that you avoid approaching the coaching staff unless specifically requested, as they are focused on multiple tasks and need to give each player the attention they require.

Field Layouts

We have provided (as part of the invitation to trial) field layouts for each session, which are subject to change without prior notice to players or parents. However, any changes to the locations will only be made with written confirmation.

Pre-Attendance

  1. All attendees must complete the Expression of Interest form.
  2. Players are to trail in the correct year of birth unless approved in writing by the GM of Football.
    1. If players abilities are up to an older age this will be looked at during the selection process.

Before the session

  1. All payers are to sign in and stay at the designated area.
    1. Sutton Park, Clubhouse behind the main field fence.
    2. Briggs Road, Grandstand.
  2. No players are to enter the fields.
  3. All players must wear shin pads.
  4. All players please bring water.

During the session

  1. Trials can get competitive, and players are encouraged to give their best effort. However, any unsafe or dangerous tackles, or actions that could result in a red card during a match, will lead to the player being asked to leave.
  2. We welcome parents and spectators to offer words of encouragement. However, please avoid providing coaching or instructions, as these messages might conflict with the guidance from the coaching staff.
  3. Parents and spectators are asked to stay within the yellow zone on the maps. If you are not within those areas, you will be asked to move. If a second time you will be asked to wait in the carpark.

After the session

  1. We need all players to help pack up if requested.
  2. Players may be asked to have their parents join a discussion about the player’s progress and next steps.

Post-Attendance

  1. The selection panel will evaluate each player based on our Key Performance Indicators.
  2. Each player that has attended will receive an email with two weeks of the last session.
