Football Program Levels

We’ve had feedback that the program names have been confusing, and we’re making changes for 2026 to simplify things and align with Football Queensland’s (FQ) guidelines.

Football Queensland has directed clubs to stop using the word “Academy” unless it’s for teams playing in the official Football Queensland Academy (FQA) League.

Based on feedback we’ve received, we want to make our program names as clear and straightforward as possible for everyone.

To avoid any confusion and to better reflect our commitment to accessible, high-quality football, we are changing the name of our Metro Advanced program to the Community Advanced program.

Programs Levels

  1. Academy: This is our club’s highest playing level, designed for players who show a high level of commitment, skill, and potential.
    1. Pre-Academy: A specialised pathway designed to prepare younger players for the FQA Junior program through an integrated development environment.
  2. Community Advanced: This is a more competitive program within our community-based structure. It’s designed for players who want to become the best they can be and provides a clear pathway to our Academy
  3. Community: This program remains our foundational, entry-level tier. It provides a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment for all players to learn the fundamentals of the game and enjoy football.
