2026 Football Queensland Requirements
We are pleased to announce that Ipswich FC has successfully maintained our Silver Academy Program status for the 2026 season. To meet the demanding new Football Queensland (FQ) Silver Shield Required Standard for 2026 and beyond, which mandates full-time, specialised technical leadership, we’ve made a strategic investment in a new Technical Team.
2026 Membership Fees
2026 Fees now includes a member’s discount on purchases at the Club Shop.
Up to 20% discount on apparel & merchandise.
Up to 20% discount at the Canteen.

** Community Advanced (Kangaroo & MJL) Teams will have a $150 additional fee to cover a full playing kit and an extra session per week.
Fee Reduction
- Metro Kangaroo $800 to $400
- Metro Junior League (MJL) $1,000 to $800
Fee Increase
- To cover additional Football Qld Shield Required Standard, including but not limited to full-time Technical Director and 3 new Head of Roles.
- Admin Fee to pay a Club Administrator due to the FFA & FQ System Issues.
- To bring in line with other clubs and inflation.
2026 Registration Process
For the 2025 Season, the registration process was confusing to say the least with Football Australia and Football Queensland changing the process and requiring multiple registrations across multiple systems. For the 2026 season, the club will be taking that pressure off parents/players and working towards a simple, one-step registration process.
2026 Additional Roles
- Full-Time Technical Director (FQ Requirement): Sam Gahan
Sam’s experience with Gold Academy Programs and international work as Head Analyst for the Papua New Guinea National Men’s Team will directly elevate our technical standards and resources for the entire club. - Head of Individual Development (FQ Requirement)
Dedicated to implementing structured programs for player-specific technical growth. - Head of Community
This role will ensure the technical direction benefits all our Community Teams, making sure every player receives a quality experience. - Head of Coach Development
Focused on continuously upskilling our Community and Academy coaching team to deliver the best possible training across all age groups.
