Calves Kick-Off (U3-U5)

About

The Calves Kick-Off Program is aimed for children from under 3 to under 5. The program promotes football-based exercise and activity for younger children of all abilities, it doesn’t matter if you have never played before. The ages are used as a guide only and players can be moved between the phases depending on skill level and each child’s development level.

U3 – U4 Program “Discovery Phase”

  • Learn the basics of the game through different drills, practices, and games.
  • Build skills through games and simple drills delivered in an engaging and inclusive environment.

U4 – U5 Program “Game Training Phase”

  • Learn the basics of the game through different drills, practices, and games.
  • Build skills through games and simple drills delivered in an engaging and inclusive environment.
  • Learn by playing football.
  • Exposed to basic rules of the game.

What is included in my membership fee?

  • Calves shirt
  • Football (size 3)

Your Calves KO Kit can be collected on the day of your first session during sign-in at the Clubhouse. Please note limited shirt sizes are available.

What do I need to bring?

  • Calves shirt
  • Football (size 3)
  • Water bottle
  • Hat
  • Enclosed shoes (boots are recommended for under 5)

When are the training sessions?

The program is run over two terms, throughout the season.

  • All sessions are held at Sutton Park.
  • 14-week program
  • 1 x 30min session per week

Term 1: Saturday 10th May to Saturday 21st June
Term 2: Saturday 19th July to Saturday 29th August

Where: Sutton Park, Brassall
Day: Saturday
Time: 8:00am – 8:45am (sessions may be shorter pending kids participation levels)
