Event Overview
Paint the Town Ed is the culmination of River 94.9’s Ed FM promotion, where listeners have been celebrating all things Ed Sheeran through daily on-air activations and online entries.
Over recent weeks, listeners have won exclusive invitations to attend this live outside broadcast by participating in Ed Sheeran-themed challenges and submissions.
On the day, we’ll bring together finalists, listeners & key members of our community for a high-energy live broadcast featuring entertainment, coffee, breakfast and interactive activities, with the River Rover proudly on site thanks to Pet Mince Direct.
Marnie and Campo will crown Ipswich’s Best Dressed Ed, awarding a prize pack valued at over $1000 including an Ed Sheeran-themed turntable, vinyl, CDs and merchandise.
One ultimate winner will also be announced as Ipswich’s biggest Ed Sheeran superfan, winning the trip of a lifetime.
Major Prize:
A trip for two to see Ed Sheeran live on his Loop Tour in Toronto, Canada (Rogers Centre – 22 August 2026), including return flights from Brisbane, accommodation, event tickets and spending money.

What we require from you:
- 20 of Ipswich FC’s biggest Ed Sheeran fan’s who would love to join us on the day in their Ipswich FC jersey’s and be part of the fun.
- If Ed happens to surprise us, these lucky 20 fans will be on hand to present Ed with the Ipswich FC jersey.
- We have engaged a videographer for the event and have notified TV media, so parents nominating their kids would need to be ok with them being featured in the video edit that will be posted to social media & potentially broadcast live on TV.
- Marnie & Campo will do shoutouts for the club during their OB which allows for extra exposure for your wonderful club.
